Prospects for cooperation in the field of higher education, science and innovation with the Russian Federation were discussed

M.E. Shvydkoy noted the high level of organization of the event and touched upon the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of higher education, science and innovation, as well as issues of developing cooperation between our countries in the field of exchange of teachers and students.
In turn, Minister K. Sharipov recognized the high level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation in the field of higher education, science and innovation, noting that active cooperation is carried out with the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Tashkent. It was also noted that joint education fairs have been organized, which allow applicants to choose specialized higher education institutions in Russia and serve to strengthen academic ties between the countries.
The meeting also discussed the issue of organizing joint competitions of scientific projects between the two countries. These competitions create new opportunities for strengthening scientific cooperation between scientists and researchers of Uzbekistan and Russia, and also serve as an important platform for supporting research activities and exchanging best practices.
Following the meeting, Minister K. Sharipov, taking into account the situation in the Kursk region, in order to ensure the safety of Uzbek students, proposed to transfer their education to an online format, while expressing the readiness of the Uzbek side to cooperate with the Russian Federation on this issue.
