The training courses were aimed at supporting women in higher education institutions, promoting gender equality, fostering a healthy moral and psychological environment, and enhancing the effectiveness of work with female students.
During the program, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills regarding national legislation and regulatory documents related to women’s issues, mechanisms for implementing gender policies in higher education institutions, effective communication with female students, and methods of psychological support and counseling. Practical sessions were also conducted on the early identification and prevention of harassment and violence, as well as providing targeted assistance to students in need.
The professional development courses were attended by chairs of Women’s Advisory Councils from nearly 60 higher education institutions across the country. The training sessions were delivered by experienced professors, educators, and field experts using interactive and practice-oriented approaches.
As an important component of the program, experience-sharing meetings were organized at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Committee on Family and Women of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Tashkent State Transport University. These activities provided participants with opportunities to learn from best practices in working with women, strengthen cooperation, and develop new initiatives.
These professional development courses contribute to protecting the rights and interests of women in higher education institutions, increasing their social engagement, and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment.
