Scientific and Practical Seminar Held on Improving the System of Training and Certification of Research Personnel

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Sodiq Safoyev, First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Subsequently, Sardor Rajabov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, delivered a presentation on the importance of the Decree for the higher education system and the training of research personnel.
The seminar brought together faculty members, doctoral students, independent researchers, and scholars. Discussions focused on priority tasks aimed at elevating the national system of research personnel training to a new level, strengthening the integration of scientific research with practical applications, and improving certification procedures.
Particular attention was given to the activities of research groups. Participants discussed proposals to ensure that each research group produces one or two high-quality Scopus-indexed articles during its first year of operation, progresses toward publishing in Q1-ranked journals in subsequent stages, establishes a sustainable publication pipeline, and institutionalizes this model within the university system.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants shared recommendations and perspectives on ensuring the effective implementation of the Decree, enhancing the quality of scientific research, supporting young scientists, and further developing the university’s scientific schools.
