The First Uzbekistan–Spain University Rectors Forum Held in Madrid

On June 10, the opening ceremony of the First Uzbekistan–Spain University Rectors Forum was held at King Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
























The ceremony was officially opened by Farrukh Tursunov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Spain; Komiljon Karimov, Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent; representatives of the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE); and the leadership of King Juan Carlos University.
The forum focused on discussing prospects for cooperation in higher education, science, and academic exchange, as well as strengthening inter-university partnerships and launching new joint projects.
A delegation representing 38 higher education institutions from Uzbekistan is participating in a series of events and meetings held within the framework of the forum.
During the sessions, meetings, and negotiations, participants are discussing the establishment of new partnerships between higher education institutions of the two countries and the implementation of promising collaborative initiatives.
The international forum, taking place in Madrid and Barcelona with the participation of university leaders, representatives of educational organizations, and international experts from both countries, will continue until June 13.
