During the meeting, preliminary proposals for establishing the “China–Central Asia Joint Laboratory for Green Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials” were discussed. The parties exchanged views on the organizational and legal mechanisms for implementing the project, the priority areas of scientific cooperation, and its practical significance.
The Chinese side presented the concept of the joint laboratory, its key objectives, and major research areas. Opportunities for introducing advanced technologies within the laboratory’s activities, commercializing joint research outcomes, and supporting the initiative through international grants and investments were also considered.
The Uzbek side emphasized the importance of clearly defining the project implementation timeline, investment volume, technical parameters, and the responsibilities of each party.
The participants also discussed the possibility of designating the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction as the principal institution responsible for coordinating the cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chinese delegation invited the leadership and specialists of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction to visit China and familiarize themselves with the activities of similar laboratories.
The meeting was organized as a practical follow-up to the agreements and outcomes achieved during the 8th session of the Uzbekistan–China Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, which was recently held in the People’s Republic of China.
