Regional Educational Cooperation to Be Further Strengthened

During the meeting with the Kazakh side, the parties discussed further expansion of bilateral cooperation, the launch of joint scientific grant competitions, the strengthening of ties among young researchers, and the acceleration of efforts to conclude an agreement on the mutual recognition of higher education qualifications among the Central Asian countries.
The participants emphasized that these initiatives would contribute to the development of academic mobility in the region, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the advancement of scientific cooperation to a new level.
During the meeting with the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the current state of bilateral cooperation in higher education and science, as well as priority areas for its future development, were reviewed.
It was noted that more than 90 memoranda and agreements have been signed between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Programmes for faculty exchange, joint research projects, and academic mobility are steadily expanding.
The parties also put forward proposals to jointly organize the “Future Engineers” Festival, expand research on the sustainable use of water resources, hold the “Study in Uzbekistan” education exhibition in Kyrgyzstan, and establish joint summer and winter schools in engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, energy, and natural sciences.
The discussions resulted in the development of an action plan aimed at strengthening mutual trust, practical cooperation, and regional integration in the fields of higher education, science, and innovation across Central Asia.
