Uzbekistan and Germany: New Goals Set in Higher Education, Language Certification, and Workforce Training

It was noted that more than 40 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have established effective cooperation with over 55 German universities and scientific-educational organizations based on more than 110 cooperation agreements and memorandums.
The meeting also highlighted the growing interest in learning the German language in Uzbekistan. Currently, more than 2,300 students at 23 higher education institutions study German as their primary foreign language. In addition, over 10,000 students are learning German as a second foreign language.
Over the past four years, nearly 300 professors and teachers, as well as more than 30 delegations from Germany, have visited higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. At the same time, more than 250 representatives of university leadership and faculty members from Uzbekistan have visited Germany.
During the dialogue, special attention was also paid to cooperation in the areas of language certification systems, vocational education, and the organization of international examinations.
The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, expand educational and scientific exchanges, and implement joint initiatives.
