Academic Cooperation Issues Discussed with Oxford University Press

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding academic cooperation with higher education institutions and research organizations of Uzbekistan, as well as increasing access to international academic resources.
The discussion also covered Oxford University Press’s activities in the fields of scientific research, education, and English language teaching, along with the opportunities provided by the Oxford Academic digital platform. It was noted that the platform is one of the world’s leading academic resources, offering researchers, faculty members, students, and research institutions extensive access to scholarly journals, books, and research materials.
To further enhance the quality of scientific research and academic culture in Uzbekistan, the parties considered proposals to launch pilot programs for the use of Oxford Academic resources, create institutional access opportunities for leading universities, and organize practical training sessions for doctoral students and young researchers on academic writing, preparing articles for international journals, and publication ethics.
The meeting also addressed strengthening the capacity of editorial boards of national scientific journals, introducing international peer-review standards, ensuring effective use of anti-plagiarism systems, and enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbek higher education institutions in the global academic arena.
The parties expressed their readiness to establish long-term and practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oxford University Press, including continued collaboration on the broad implementation of modern international practices in education and science.
