Educational Cluster Project Planned in New Tashkent Discussed with Qatar's "Artan Holding"

The meeting covered the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's education sector, expanding private sector participation, introducing international educational programs, and forming modern educational ecosystems. In particular, the prospects of establishing an international educational cluster in the territory of New Tashkent were discussed. Views were exchanged on the project to build an educational complex comprising the British international day school "DBS", the British heritage boarding school "Glenalmond", a university based on the "Ulster" brand, and a vocational education academy.
Minister Kongratboy Sharipov emphasized that large-scale reforms have been implemented in Uzbekistan's education sector in recent years, with international cooperation and private sector participation steadily expanding. At the same time, he noted that one of the important tasks today is the formation of a cohesive educational ecosystem ranging from school level up to higher education and vocational training.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the educational cluster project proposed by "Artan Holding" aligns with the strategic development concept of New Tashkent, and this initiative will serve to train highly qualified personnel, introduce international educational standards, and develop human capital.
The parties discussed cooperation opportunities regarding the implementation of joint programs in higher and vocational education, the development of modern curricula, and the training of specialists tailored to the requirements of the labor market.
