Issues of Developing Scientific Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and Pakistan Discussed

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in the fields of biotechnology, biodiversity, ecology, and bioenergy.
For reference, Academician Mushtaq Ahmad is the author of more than 900 scientific articles, as well as dozens of books and monographs on plant biodiversity, climate change, environmental sustainability, biotechnology, and green energy. Professor Shazia Sultana conducts research on climate-resilient plant resources, has been included among the world’s most influential scientists, and is the author of more than 400 high-impact scientific publications.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on implementing joint scientific projects between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and leading universities of Pakistan, establishing exchanges of professors and researchers, and organizing international scientific forums and laboratories.
Minister Kungirotboy Sharipov emphasized that Uzbekistan has been consistently continuing reforms aimed at developing science and innovation and expanding international cooperation in recent years. He noted that collaboration with Pakistani scientists would contribute to strengthening scientific diplomacy between the two countries.
