During the dialogue, the parties discussed cooperation within the framework of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan, expanding women’s participation in public life and public administration, as well as strengthening regional solidarity.
It was also noted with satisfaction that the chairmanship of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan has passed to the Uzbek side. Based on the agreements reached last year, the Senate developed an annual programme for the dialogue. The participants exchanged views on extending the chairmanship term to two years and on establishing a permanent secretariat.
The parties also considered the participation of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in this prestigious event, as well as the possibility of organizing a side event on the topic “The Role of Youth in Preventive Diplomacy.”
The meeting additionally addressed preparations for the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, scheduled to take place in September 2026 in the city of Samarkand.
Particular attention during the discussion was given to protecting women and youth from violence, organizing joint seminars in this area, and developing systematic cooperation for the exchange of best practices.
