The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Offense Prevention Service of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Sharof Uralov, and Deputy Head of the service, Colonel Nilufar G‘iyosova.
During the discussion, the parties thoroughly addressed issues related to preventing offenses and crime among university students, as well as their early detection and elimination. In particular, the importance of taking systematic measures to prevent the involvement of some young people in drug trafficking, including as so-called “dead drop couriers,” was emphasized.
In this regard, the parties agreed to develop a set of practical measures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of preventive work, enhancing students’ legal awareness and culture, and protecting them from various threats.
Special attention was given to monitoring the living conditions of students in dormitories and rented housing, as well as creating a safe and healthy social environment. Particular emphasis was placed on implementing targeted programs to improve the social and moral environment among female students and protect them from negative influences.
The parties also highlighted the importance of developing and implementing the “Safe Student” digital platform to bring preventive efforts to a new level by establishing systematic monitoring and rapid communication mechanisms based on modern information technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a joint action plan and draft relevant regulatory and legal documents in these areas.
