At the conference, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov, the First Deputy Minister Sardor Rajabov, as well as heads and employees of the system presented information on the priority areas defined in this document. Specifically, participants were explained the principles of "5T," the "U10" program, the national rating system, new mechanisms for financing scientific activities, and issues regarding the development of digital education.
Within the framework of the event, a report was also presented on the status of implementation by ministries and subordinate organizations of the tasks defined in the documents of the President and the Government for the first quarter of 2026. In particular, in the first quarter of this year, our ministry was assigned 532 specific tasks by the President and the Government through the "Ijro.gov.uz" system. Specifically, within the framework of the President's 152 documents, 484 assignments were assigned to the ministry, and 48 assignments were assigned based on 17 documents of our government.
It was noted that behind each of these instructions lie the interests of our people, the future of education and science, and therefore the ministry's leadership pays very serious attention to this issue.
The press conference was held in an open and constructive atmosphere. Responsible officials provided comprehensive answers to numerous questions from journalists and media representatives. The main attention and wide discussions were focused on the criteria for evaluating the activities of higher education institutions, expanding international cooperation, attracting foreign students and effectively commercializing scientific developments.
At the conclusion of the event, it was specifically noted that the new decree will elevate the higher education system to a qualitatively new level and serve the close connection of science and innovation with the economy.
