Ministers Discuss New Areas of Cooperation Between European Union and Central Asian Universities

The session, titled “New Areas of Cooperation Between European Union and Central Asian Universities,” was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Qoʻngʻirotboy Sharipov, the Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan Rahim Hamro Saidzoda, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Durus Kozuyev, as well as the Director General for Science and Higher Education of Poland Marcin Iskra.
The panel session was moderated by the Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent, Komiljon Karimov. The discussion covered modern trends in higher education, the development of institutional cooperation between universities, expansion of joint educational programs and scientific research, as well as advancing cooperation to a new level in the context of innovation and digital transformation.
Special attention at the Congress is being given to expanding double-degree programs, conducting joint research in the fields of artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and green technologies, increasing participation in Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe, and strengthening collaboration between universities and industry.
