Uzbekistan–Poland Cooperation: New Opportunities in Higher Education and Science

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland in the fields of higher education, science, and innovation, as well as prospects for its further development. Special attention was paid to expanding inter-university cooperation, launching joint educational programs, and intensifying scientific research and academic exchange.
In his remarks, Ilhom Sirojev emphasized that relations between Central Asia and Europe have deep historical roots, noting that today’s cooperation represents a modern continuation of these traditions. He also highlighted that large-scale reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at developing human capital, improving the quality of education, and ensuring innovative development. In this regard, cooperation with European countries was noted as being of great importance for experience exchange, implementation of advanced approaches, and training competitive specialists.
Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland, highly praised academic cooperation with Uzbekistan and noted that the congress serves as an important platform for strengthening practical partnerships between the two regions. He expressed the interest of Polish universities in expanding joint educational programs, scientific consortia, and innovative projects with Uzbek higher education institutions. He also emphasized that Uzbekistan ranks among the top 10 countries in terms of the number of students studying in Poland, which will contribute to elevating bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Kongratbay Sharipov подчеркнул важность дальнейшего развития сотрудничества в сфере профессионального образования, отметив, что данное направление является ключевым фактором в подготовке квалифицированных кадров, отвечающих требованиям современного рынка труда. В этой связи он отметил необходимость установления прямых связей между учреждениями профессионального образования, внедрения элементов дуального обучения, расширения участия работодателей, а также обновления учебных программ в соответствии с международными стандартами.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of education, science, and innovation.
