“Minister’s Cup”: Girls’ Field Hockey — First Tournament, First Champions

This tournament marked not only one of the first practical steps in introducing a new sport but also became an important platform showcasing female students’ physical activity, teamwork, and growing interest in sports. During the finals, teams fought for victory until the very last minutes, demonstrating true sportsmanship and determination.
According to the results:
• 1st place — team of Uzbekistan State World Languages University
• 2nd place — team of Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages
• 3rd place — team of Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute
The winning and prize-winning teams were duly rewarded with cash prizes of 50 million, 40 million, and 30 million UZS respectively. Additionally, outstanding athletes who demonstrated exceptional skill and activity were recognized. The best performers were awarded in various nominations and received monetary prizes.
The award ceremony was attended by Qoʻngʻirotboy Sharipov, university rector Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov, and Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Field Hockey Federation Rinat Axmadulin.
At the end of the event, the winners were presented with trophies and commemorative gifts, creating unforgettable moments for all participants.
This competition holds significant importance within the “Minister’s Cup” initiative in promoting new sports, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among youth, and increasing women’s participation in sports.
