The main objective of the seminar was to improve public oversight mechanisms in the higher education system, enrich the activities of public councils, and enhance their effectiveness.
During the event, special attention was given to ensuring openness and transparency in the activities of higher education institutions, strengthening communication with the public, and expanding cooperation with civil society institutions.
It was emphasized that public councils should not be limited to an advisory role only, but should be regarded as an important institution for ensuring effective public oversight over the activities of educational institutions.
Experts also provided practical recommendations on modern approaches to organizing the work of public councils, developing their work plans, studying and analyzing public opinion, establishing open dialogue with citizens and students, and strengthening cooperation with the media.
