International Employers Forum on the Integration of the Labor Market and Education

The forum was opened by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Oʻktam Salomov, who emphasized that developing human capital, improving the quality of education, and ensuring strong alignment with labor market demands are among the top priorities today.
Speeches were also delivered by the Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Management and Economics, Xojiakbar Axmedov, and the Director of the Higher Education Development Research Center under the Ministry, Abduvali Xoliqov. They highlighted key issues such as modernizing the education system, improving the quality of workforce training, and enhancing the effectiveness of scientific research.
The main objective of the forum was to create an open and effective platform for dialogue among employers, higher education institutions, government bodies, and international organizations, to develop human capital, foster in-demand professional skills, increase graduate employment, and improve cooperation mechanisms between the education system and the real sector of the economy.
The forum brought together leaders of government institutions, members of parliament, top managers of major companies and banks, experts from international organizations, and representatives of higher education institutions. Key discussions focused on education, employment, investment, digital technologies, and strategic reforms.
The forum program consisted of two main sessions. The first session addressed the current state of the labor market, global trends, strategies for human capital development, and digital transformation processes. The second session focused on cooperation between employers and the education system, practical solutions, modern workforce training models, and innovative approaches to human resource management.
Additionally, the forum featured presentations of promising startups and innovative projects, the signing of memorandums between businesses and educational institutions, and meetings aimed at expanding cooperation.
