A prestigious international meeting on “green” skills held in Istanbul: Uzbekistan’s reforms were presented

In the city of Istanbul, the third meeting of the Skills Development Working Group is being held within the framework of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program’s project “Strengthening the Development of Green Skills".

In particular, presentations were delivered by Inatillo Ne’matov, Head of the Secretariat of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Farrukh Azimov, Head of Department at the Agency for Vocational Education. They presented on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to improve curricula in higher and vocational education with a focus on “green skills”.
The presentation covered:
-training personnel for the “green” economy;
-modernization of the vocational education system;
-introduction of short-term courses and micro-qualifications;
-implementation of modern approaches in the education process.
