“New Uzbekistan Students’ Olympiad” Sports Competitions to Be Held

These competitions, aimed at broadly engaging students in sports, are being organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the National Olympic Committee.
The Olympiad will be held in three stages:
— at the level of higher education institutions (April 1–30);
— regional stage (May 1–15);
— national final (June 1–10).
The competitions will cover 7 sports: 3x3 basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis, swimming, and football, among all public, private, and foreign higher education institutions in the country.
To ensure a high-level organization of the competitions, specific tasks have been set, including forming teams within universities, preparing sports infrastructure, ensuring refereeing, organizing safety and medical services, and promoting the events widely in mass media and social networks.
As noted, these competitions will contribute to promoting a healthy lifestyle among students, increasing their physical activity, and strengthening young people’s interest in sports.
