Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilhom Sirojev and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov highlighted the strategic importance of the draft decree, its role in fundamentally modernizing the system of higher education, science and innovation, and its significance in advancing the ongoing reforms in the sector to a new stage. It was emphasized that the document defines priority tasks aimed at improving the efficiency of higher education institutions, supporting research activities, and widely introducing innovative approaches.

At the meeting, the Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education Bakhtiyor Yuldashev, as well as the First Deputy Minister Sardor Rajabov, delivered a detailed presentation on the key directions of the draft decree, the mechanisms for its implementation, and the expected outcomes. The presentation paid special attention to improving university governance, developing the education quality assessment system in line with international standards, and strengthening the integration of science and innovation with industry.

The discussions were held in a constructive atmosphere. Rectors expressed a number of proposals and opinions on implementing the reforms envisaged in the draft decree, improving the effectiveness of higher education institutions, strengthening scientific potential, and enhancing the international competitiveness of universities. It was emphasized that the proposals made will contribute to further improving the draft decree and ensuring its practical effectiveness.
