Rectors of Universities of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Discuss Cooperation in Pedagogical Education, Scientific Research, and Digital Technologies

In particular, the section devoted to pedagogical education and humanities discussed the modernization of teacher training, expansion of joint educational programs, development of language policy, and promotion of academic mobility. It was emphasized that experience exchange between universities and the implementation of joint educational projects are of great importance in this area.
The section dedicated to scientific research and innovation considered issues related to the development of fundamental and applied research, establishment of joint research centers, cooperation within grant programs, and training of master’s and doctoral students. Participants noted the importance of strengthening scientific ties between researchers of the two countries.
During the section on engineering education and digital technologies, discussions focused on the development of IT technologies, energy, industrial automation, nanotechnology, and cooperation between universities and industrial enterprises. The introduction of innovative technologies into the educational process and the training of specialists for the digital economy were identified as priority tasks.
The section on medical education and biomedical research discussed improving the quality of training for medical professionals, conducting joint clinical research, digitalizing healthcare systems, and establishing exchange programs for students and medical residents.
In the section devoted to tourism and services, participants discussed training competitive specialists for the tourism industry, developing international educational programs, strengthening cultural diplomacy, and implementing joint practical projects.
The sectional discussions held within the forum are significant for bringing scientific and educational cooperation between universities of the two countries to a new level, implementing joint projects, and forming a common academic space in Central Asia.
