Education Ministers of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Discuss New Areas of Cooperation

During the dialogue, special attention was given to developing the teaching of the Uzbek language in Tajikistan, organizing joint educational programs in cooperation with leading higher education institutions of the two countries, and expanding academic exchange.
Prospects for further cooperation were also considered in priority areas such as engineering, information technologies and artificial intelligence, transport, mechanical engineering, architecture and construction, agriculture, geology, mining, biotechnology, nanotechnology, metallurgy, energy, and renewable energy sources.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the current state of cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, as well as discussions on supporting promising scientific and educational projects and implementing joint programs and research initiatives.
The parties also emphasized the importance of expanding the exchange of experience in education through organizing seminars, trainings, master classes, and professional development courses for faculty members, as well as strengthening ties between universities.
It was noted that the meeting will contribute to bringing the strategic cooperation in education and science between the two countries to a new stage.
