A seminar on results-based budgeting was held in the higher education system

The seminar was organized within the framework of resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving the public financial management system. The event was attended by managers and responsible staff of the ministry’s central office and subordinate organizations, as well as administrators and executors of budget programs.
During the event, experts from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the international consulting organization Ernst & Young Advisory LLC (Ecorys, Netherlands) delivered presentations on modern approaches to introducing a results-based budgeting system, the structure of budget programs, and the formation of performance indicators.
During the seminar, participants were provided with practical explanations on organizational and management mechanisms for implementing programs, monitoring and reporting procedures, as well as the evaluation of the effectiveness of budget programs and risk management.
In addition, practical training sessions were organized, during which participants completed practical tasks related to planning budget programs and assessing their performance.
The seminar aims to introduce modern mechanisms of public financial management, ensure the efficient use of budget funds, and further strengthen the institutional capacity of the ministry’s system.
