Issues of Higher Education and Youth Policy Discussed at Fergana State University

As part of the visit, discussions were held with the participation of First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General Bakhriddin Valiyev, and the Rector of the university, Bahodirjon Shermuhammadov. The parties addressed issues related to the university’s academic and scientific potential, infrastructure, and future development prospects.
The university leadership provided detailed information on the educational process, research activities, ongoing reforms, and prospective projects. Visual and statistical materials were presented to demonstrate the university’s current performance and strategic plans.
On the occasion of “Youth Day,” introduced at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and observed every Thursday, the guests held an open dialogue with students of the Faculty of Military Education, as well as with young people actively engaged in sports.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on enhancing legal awareness among youth, their role in upholding law and discipline, and the responsibility of educational institutions in working with young people. Students’ proposals and opinions were heard, and practical recommendations were provided.
