It was emphasized that in the context of global competition, industrialization, and the digital economy, the country’s development directly depends on highly qualified engineering professionals. The priority role of engineering in economic modernization, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the achievement of technological independence was highlighted.
It was announced that April of the current year has been declared “Engineering Month.” Within its framework, a series of practical events will be organized to promote the field and actively engage students in innovation and inventive activities.
Special attention was given to organizing the “University Cup” competition in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, drone technologies, and cybersecurity, with a prize fund of 100 million UZS. This year, the competition is planned to be held across 26 higher education institutions.
Preparations for the international “Engineers of the Future” festival, scheduled for April 28–30, 2026, in Tashkent, were also reviewed. The festival will include competitions and contests in 39 areas, including 7 special categories among higher education institutions. All universities were tasked with ensuring active student participation and attracting international participants through partner foreign universities.
Particular attention was also paid to preparations for the national competitions “Best Idea,” “Best Project,” and “Best Invention” in engineering. All higher education institutions were instructed to prepare young engineers, assign experienced mentors, and submit at least 30 projects to the competitions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, instructions were given to ensure full financial, organizational, and informational support for all engineering-related activities, strengthen implementation discipline, and submit weekly progress reports to the Ministry’s headquarters.
Coordination and oversight of the assigned tasks were entrusted to responsible officials.
