To implement these directives, systematic work has been launched at Berdaq nomidagi Qoraqalpoq davlat universiteti.
Professors and students of the Faculties of Construction and Architecture have been assigned to 76 red-category mahallas across the Republic of Karakalpakstan and have commenced practical work on developing their master plans. The process includes an in-depth assessment of existing infrastructure, engineering and utility networks, social facilities, road and transport systems, green areas, and overall living conditions.
This initiative not only contributes to urban improvement and redevelopment in line with modern urban planning standards, but also serves as a valuable hands-on learning platform for students. They gain practical experience in applying theoretical knowledge to real sites, working with project and cost documentation, conducting territorial analysis, and developing contemporary architectural solutions.
Practical measures to develop master plans have already begun in the “Samanbay” and “Jańa zaman” citizens’ assemblies of Nukus city.
Experts and students are currently preparing proposals for shaping comprehensive territorial master plans, constructing modern housing, optimally locating social facilities, playgrounds, sports complexes, retail and service outlets, as well as upgrading engineering infrastructure networks.
