The sides discussed reforms in vocational education and exchanged views on the comprehensive development of the system.

At the meeting, Ambassador Konstantin Obolensky highlighted the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years. He said that Switzerland is ready to take cooperation relations in the comprehensive development of Uzbekistan's vocational education system to a new level, and cooperation in a new format will be the basis for this.

Minister Kongratbay Sharipov noted that the projects financed by the Swiss government to study the best practices of Switzerland in the field of vocational education and apply them in the vocational education system of Uzbekistan are a great help to the development of this sphere.

During the dialogue, the sides also discussed such issues as elaboration of a plan (strategy) for development of vocational education in Uzbekistan, training of teachers on the basis of modern methods with the involvement of Swiss specialists in vocational education, introduction of dual education.

The Ambassador noted readiness to share Switzerland's advanced experience in making the vocational education system more attractive, in particular, the introduction of inclusive and dual education, ensuring the quality of education, training of middle-level personnel in cooperation with the private sector in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation in the field of development and support of the vocational education system.
