During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues related to the effective establishment of the branch of Bauman Moscow State Technical University in the city of Tashkent, as well as the implementation of tasks outlined in the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the establishment of the branch of Bauman Moscow State Technical University in the city of Tashkent.”
The parties noted that 100 students are planned to be admitted to the first stage of the branch in the 2026/2027 academic year. Of them, 70 students will study on a tuition-fee basis, while 30 students will study on state grants. Until the new campus is commissioned, the educational process will be organized based on the classroom facilities of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, as well as in temporary buildings allocated for the branch.
Specific deadlines were also set for amending the branch’s charter, forming the material and technical base, determining staff positions for academic and administrative personnel, developing the technical assignment for designing the new campus, and organizing an information campaign for student admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The parties emphasized that these agreements will further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of higher technical education, contribute to the training of modern engineering specialists, and support the development of advanced educational infrastructure in Tashkent.
