Activities of Higher Education Institutions and Priority Areas for 2026 Discussed

During the discussions, the heads of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Tashkent State University of Law, Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sports, Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, and Gulistan State University delivered presentations outlining the results achieved in 2025 and the priority objectives for the future development of their institutions.
In particular, at Tashkent State Agrarian University, attention was given to integrating scientific research in agriculture with practical applications, introducing innovative agrotechnologies, and training modern specialists. At Tashkent State University of Law, particular emphasis was placed on improving the quality of legal education and introducing new programs in digital law, international law, and economic law.
Additionally, initiatives at the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sports aimed at training highly qualified specialists for the sports sector, developing sports science and sports medicine, and expanding participation in international rankings and competitions were discussed. At the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, participants exchanged views on developing creative education through the integration of national and global cultural heritage and the introduction of modern approaches in arts education.
Within the framework of Gulistan State University’s activities, discussions focused on scientific areas contributing to regional development, improving the quality of specialist training, strengthening research potential, and enhancing the university’s role as a scientific center.
During the meeting, priority tasks for 2026 were identified, including further improvement of the educational process in higher education institutions, strengthening research and innovation activities, preparing competitive specialists aligned with labor market demands, and improving the efficiency of university management.
