"Open Day at the Center for State Ecological Expertise: Strengthening transparency and combating corruption"

Employees of the Center for State Ecological Expertise and its regional branches, a responsible representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, entrepreneurs, and project designers took part in the event.
The main purpose of the event was to explain to participants the importance of transparency, legality, and principles of fairness in the field of environmental expertise, as well as to inform them that corruption poses a serious threat to the development of the state, society, the country's progress, and the well-being of its citizens.
It was noted that fostering a strict attitude toward corruption in society is one of the most pressing tasks of our time. It was also emphasized that the fulfillment of responsibilities assigned to the relevant authorities must be accompanied by each citizen’s awareness of their personal responsibility. Furthermore, it was highlighted that our country is conducting a consistent and determined fight against this phenomenon.
The meeting presented the main directions of state policy in the field of combating corruption, including raising citizens’ legal awareness and culture, as well as developing a principled attitude toward corruption within society. Detailed information was also provided on the measures being implemented in this area.
It was stressed that any manifestation of corruption is unacceptable at the Center for State Environmental Expertise, and strengthening honesty and responsibility among employees is one of its key tasks.
In addition, to ensure early detection of corruption cases, reduce corruption-related risk factors, and prevent conflicts of interest, the Center operates an Anti-Corruption and Compliance Control Service.
