According to available information, the incident occurred in the city of Taif. A group of girls was riding on a pendulum-style attraction that swings back and forth. Video footage from the scene shows the ride ascending to a height and beginning its downward motion before suddenly crashing to the ground. A total of 23 people were reportedly injured.
