SEMINAR ON INDUSTRIAL SAFETY

The seminar featured presentations on "Industrial safety of hazardous production facilities," "Maintenance of certain state cadastres," "Cadastre management in zones with high technogenic risks," and "Improving the effectiveness of measures to prevent emergencies related to highly flammable and explosive chemicals."
The event was opened by Olimjon Juraev, head of the main department of the Committee, who emphasized that the Committee is the authorized government body responsible for implementing and monitoring unified state policy in the fields of radiation and nuclear safety at atomic energy and nuclear technology facilities, as well as industrial safety at hazardous production sites.
Additionally, the head of the Tashkent regional department, Rustam Yusupov, reported that over a thousand facilities operate in the region, including 148 CNG stations, 228 petrol stations, 9 gas stations, 60 warehouses, 300 chemical enterprises, and over 250 other organizations dealing with flammable and explosive chemicals. He noted that around 50,000 workers are employed in these sectors and highlighted the importance of complying with regulatory documents related to industrial safety.
