SEMINAR ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RISK BASED INSPECTION (RBI) HELD
2026-03-17 17:00:00 / News

Within the framework of the seminar, the implementation of the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) system based on API (American Petroleum Institute) 580/581 international standards was discussed.
RBI: A modern approach to industrial safety
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is one of the most advanced approaches in industrial safety, enabling risk-based assessment of equipment condition, identification of potential failures, and timely implementation of preventive measures.
During the seminar, participants received practical insights into identifying risk factors in pressure vessels, process equipment, and pipelines, as well as applying modern diagnostic techniques.
Key objectives of cooperation
The initiative is aimed at achieving the following goals:
🔹 ensuring continuous, stable, and safe operation of technological processes
🔹 modern assessment of the technical condition of pressure equipment
🔹 early identification and prevention of potential risk factors
Key components of the RBI program
The seminar focused on the following key areas:
🔸 Comprehensive technical condition analysis
Assessment of wear, corrosion processes, probability of damage, and safe service life.
🔸 Application of advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
Use of ultrasonic testing, radiography, acoustic emission, and other modern diagnostic technologies.
🔸 Risk-based inspection planning
Optimization of inspection processes and prioritization based on risk levels.
🔸 Prevention of emergency situations
Reduction of accident probability through preventive measures.
🔸 Integrated safety monitoring
Establishment of technical control systems in line with international standards.
Practical results and expected outcomes
Currently, the technical equipment of “Air Products Netherlands Gases BV.” is being progressively assessed using RBI methodology. Based on identified risks, appropriate measures are being developed and implemented.
As a result, the following outcomes are expected:
✔️ significant improvement in industrial safety levels
✔️ enhanced working conditions for technical personnel and operators
✔️ reduction in the risk of accidents and emergencies
✔️ improved stability and efficiency of production processes
This seminar represents an important step toward the implementation of international best practices, the adoption of modern inspection approaches, and the обеспечение высокого уровня безопасности на hazardous production facilities.
