The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, A. Rafiqov. As noted, currently, several initiatives are being carried out in our country to modernize the industry and increase its efficiency. However, despite these efforts, the analyses conducted indicate that there are still several issues that need to be addressed in the sector. In particular, the Committee has accepted the presentation from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 29, 2025, titled "On legal violations, their causes, and measures to eliminate the conditions that allow them", and it has become necessary to amend several legislative documents to address gaps in the law, align certain laws with international standards, and introduce new laws in some areas.
To date, at the initiative of the Committee, the following draft laws have been developed: "On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities", the draft "On Amendments and Additions to Several Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Improvement of Legislation on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety", the draft "On Radioactive Waste", and the draft "On Chemical Safety". In accordance with the Council's regulations, one of the key items on the agenda was the discussion of the presentation from the Prosecutor General’s Office of October 29, 2025, which was thoroughly explained by the Committee’s Chief Specialist on Anti-Corruption. He provided detailed information on the work completed and the further tasks regarding this issue.
Following that, for the four draft laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the responsible parties provided participants of the Council with comprehensive information about the progress made and the current status of these laws. After a critical and analytical discussion, a decision was made by the Council aimed at ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of the tasks set.
