National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” (TIIIMSH) occupies the first lines on six out of nine indicators of the methodology of QS World University Rankings. It is among the top 300 best universities in the world according to the indicator “Academic Reputation” and is one of the three best universities in Central Asia.

In particular, the university was included in the top-200 best universities in the world by “Faculty to Student Ratio” (144th place). This indicates the quality of teaching at the university and the availability of educational resources available to students. According to the indicator “Academic Reputation” TIIIMSH was ranked 290th and ranked third in the Central Asian region, and according to the indicator “Reputation among employers” it was ranked 456th.

QS Quacquarelli Symonds has been compiling university rankings since 2004, the same year the first QS World University Rankings were published. Since then, the QS rankings have become the world's most popular source of comparative data on university performance. In 2023, the company's flagship website, www.TopUniversities.com, which publishes the rankings, was viewed 170 million times, and information about the company's performance appeared in more than 124,000 stories and articles in news outlets and publications.
