The Springer Nature Awards-2024 honoured the most active institutions and authors in Uzbekistan

The event was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shahrukh Daliev. In his speech, he paid special attention to the opportunities created by the government of Uzbekistan for scientists and researchers, as well as the state and achievements of scientific activity in the country.
Director of the Centre for Scientific and Technical Information Azizbek Bakhodirov also made a welcoming speech, during which he informed the participants of the event about the state of cooperation between the Centre and international scientific publishing houses, opportunities created for scientists of the republic, as well as the Centre's activities in the field of scientometrics.
Regional Vice-President of ‘Springer Nature’ Asda Katani made a presentation of the company's activities, its history, opportunities and prospects. Representative of Springer Nature in Central Asia Irina Aleksandrova presented analytical information on publishing activity of scientists of Uzbekistan in 2019-2023 in Springer Nature, on the number of published articles and indicators of their use.
During the event, representatives of Springer Nature spoke about the analysis of articles, books and monographs published by scientists and researchers in Uzbekistan. The event also featured an award ceremony for 10 academic institutions and 5 authors who have published the most articles in 2019-2023. The winners were awarded with certificates and souvenirs from Springer Nature. They included:
1. Yusufjon Gafforov, New Uzbekistan University, has published 13 articles on life sciences in Springer Nature journals from 2019 to 2023, as well as the book ‘Ethnobiology of Uzbekistan - 2023’;
2. Anorbaev Abdulhamijon, National Archaeological Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, published 10 articles on Earth Sciences in Springer Nature journals from 2019 to 2023;
3. Yuldashev Rustam Z., Department of Paediatric Surgery, Tashkent Paediatric Medical Institute, has published 4 articles in Springer Nature journals from 2019 to 2023;
4. Nikolay Ignatiev, Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, has published 3 articles in Springer Nature journals from 2019 to 2023;
5. Dilfuza Eghamberdiyeva, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers, has authored 7 books published in Springer Nature and has also been involved in editing these books. She has also published more than 20 articles in life and environmental sciences.
