The main goal of the participation was to strengthen the Center's international image, showcase advanced approaches in environmental assessment processes, and expand opportunities for international cooperation.
The pavilion was conceptually divided into two contrasting zones: the first part — “Before Environmental Expertise”. This area displayed environmental problems resulting from uncontrolled industrial activity and environmental pollution. The second part — “Development Based on Environmental Expertise,” demonstrated a model of sustainable, technologically advanced, and environmentally safe industrial development. This zone reflected a commitment to an ecological future.
A symbolic tree stood at the center, dividing both zones. Half-withered and half-green, it represented the idea of transformation and the power of nature.
The pavilion featured models of key environmental requirements developed based on the conclusions of the state environmental expertise for industrial enterprises, including: installations for dust and gas emission treatment, local wastewater treatment systems, automated stations for stationary air pollution sources, and technological models of "green belts".
The pavilion was visited by representatives of various international and national organizations, including:
- Yvonne Igero, Secretary-General of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES);
- Tarifa Al-Zaabi, Director General of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA);
- Sabina Mahl, UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan;
- Yerlan Nuralievich Nysanbayev, Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Nury Jumashov, Deputy Minister of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan;
- Alessandra Fidanza, Senior Expert of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of Italy, Deputy Chair of the UNECE Committee on Environmental Policy, and others.
During the exhibition, negotiations were held with nearly 20 international and local organizations regarding the establishment of bilateral cooperation in the fields of environmental impact assessment and environmental expertise.
Agreements were reached with five organizations to conduct joint training seminars and develop methodological guidelines.
In addition, around 80 business entities received detailed explanations regarding the requirements of environmental expertise and environmental impact assessment.
Furthermore, on June 21, a presentation was held on the broad implementation of environmental impact assessment mechanisms, environmental expertise, and strategic environmental assessment. Approximately 50 participants attended the event.
The stand organized by the State Environmental Expertise Center featured a harmonious presentation of achievements in the field of environmental expertise, interactive presentations, master classes, modern technologies, and national cultural elements.
The Center’s pavilion attracted more than 2,000 visitors.
As a result of the exhibition, the organizers highly appreciated the Center’s active participation and awarded it 1st place.
