An International Cooperation Initiatives Week is being held in Tashkent from October 17 to 26. As part of the week, an international session titled “Achievements and Future Tasks in Youth Policy and Sports in the New Uzbekistan” took place on October 25 at the Renaissance Hall complex.
Quotes from foreign experts at the session:
**Saida Amna Batul**, representative of the Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and member of the National Assembly of Pakistan:
"I am pleased to participate in this conference dedicated to discussing the achievements and future strategies in the field of youth policy in the New Uzbekistan. It should be noted that Uzbekistan is one of the important countries in Central Asia. We share Islamic, historical, and cultural ties with Uzbek society and people. When we visit Uzbekistan, we feel not as guests but as if we are coming to our second home.
This conference has provided us with the opportunity to expand global connections and exchange ideas on the development and progress of youth.
According to the UNICEF report, 16% of the world's population consists of young people. According to the United Nations, by 2030, the youth population worldwide will increase by 7%, reaching 1.3 billion. Considering the global increase in the youth population, we need to develop joint plans and goals to ensure their education, health, and a prosperous lifestyle."
**Rafael Khajibayli**, head of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan:
"I am very pleased that we are gathered today around a common goal and responsibility for the development of youth. We represent the voices and ideas of youth from various countries, united by the goal of creating a brighter and better future for the next generations. I would like to especially highlight that in August of this year, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Republic of Uzbekistan, opening a new chapter in the development of relations between the two countries. During the visit, issues related to strengthening economic cooperation, expanding infrastructure, and deepening political dialogue were discussed.
As the National Youth Council, we are committed to contributing to the implementation of the directions outlined during this visit and achieving the goals set by our leaders. Additionally, there are great opportunities to develop cooperation between the youth organizations of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, particularly in education, startups, and social entrepreneurship through the exchange of experience and practices.
In the era of globalization, international relations have become an integral part of our activities over the years, and cooperation with Uzbekistan is especially important for us. As Turkic states, we deeply understand our historical roots, which serve as an integral and vital foundation for our partnership."
**Liu Xi**, President of the Hi China International Youth Development Alliance:
"I deeply understand the decisive role that youth play in promoting national development and international relations. In recent years, Uzbekistan has achieved remarkable results in the field of youth policy. Through numerous innovative and leadership-oriented projects, a strong foundation has been established for the future of the country. We highly value these achievements.
We support sustained and enduring cooperation and exchange between the youth of China and Uzbekistan. We are pleased to continue exchange programs for the youth of our countries, develop joint projects, and support each other in the path of progress.
Entrepreneurship and innovation are the driving forces of the modern economy. Hi China has organized cooperation between nearly 100 Chinese entrepreneurs and commercial enterprises in Uzbekistan. Hi China seeks to continue these partnerships in entrepreneurship, sharing experience, resources, and market opportunities with mutual support. We hope for deeper cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship among young entrepreneurs from both countries, which will further strengthen bilateral economic cooperation."
**Ibrahim Beshinji**, head of Turkey's Youth Foundation:
"It is a great honor for me to participate in this conference on behalf of the Youth Foundation of Turkey (TÜGVA). We are pleased to share our youth projects with you on the international stage today.
In recent years, the field of youth policy in Uzbekistan has been developing rapidly. Supporting youth in social, economic, and cultural spheres has become one of the country's main priorities.
The government of Uzbekistan is making substantial investments to ensure that youth play a more active role in education, technology, and entrepreneurship. We aim to strengthen our cooperation between our countries, enhancing cultural exchange and solidarity.
In this regard, I would like to acknowledge the strong partnership between the youth of Turkey and Uzbekistan. May our cooperation be strong and long-lasting!"
