The Uzbekistan delegation started the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games with a gold medal. Our skillful judoka Diyora Keldiyorova (-52 kg) succeeded in defeating the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games champion in the -48 kg weight category, Kosovo’s Distria Krasniqi, in the final.

Dear compatriots, thus, Diyora Keldiyorova has become the first Uzbek judoka to win an Olympic Games championship. Additionally, after 16 years, an Uzbek female athlete has once again ascended to the Olympic podium.

On behalf of the team of the Youth Affairs Agency, we sincerely congratulate all our compatriots and Diyora on winning the first gold medal. Congratulations on this historic victory.
