Youth and ecology in Istanbul: a new stage of international cooperation!

Representatives of a number of organizations gathered there under the leadership of Dilnoza Kattakhanova, First Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, and the university’s rector, Professor Bahri Şahin.
At the meeting, held in cooperation with the Youth Affairs Agency, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the “Zamin” International Public Foundation, officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, members of the International Youth Environmental Committee, eco-active students, and students of “Eco-Schools Uzbekistan” actively participated.
A number of important issues were covered during the roundtable:
1. Presentations were held on the activities of the International Youth Environmental Committee and “Eco-Schools Uzbekistan”, issues of preparation for the upcoming “COP31” climate summit were discussed, and the committee’s work plan for 2026–2027 was approved;
2. Information was provided about the global conference “12 Youth Parliament Members” to be held in Samarkand in 2026. Within the framework of the conference, an agreement was reached to hold a special “side-event” in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye;
3. Competitions were announced by the “Green Initiatives Support” fund under the Youth Affairs Agency aimed at financing international eco-startups and advanced ideas.
During the official visit, youth centers under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye were visited, where experience in the socio-cultural development of youth and preserving national identity in the era of globalization was studied.
Also, in order to support youth in the IT sector, a visit was made to Türkiye’s largest innovation hub — “Bilişim Vadisi” (Information Technologies Valley). There, participants closely ознакомились with youth startup projects and the IT cluster ecosystem.
At the end of the visit, members of the delegation also достойно participated in the Youth Parliamentarians Forum within the framework of “IPU-152”.
Such practical initiatives on the international stage increase the political activity of our youth and create a solid foundation for future large-scale projects!
