Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan

1. The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Climate Adaptive Water Resources Management in the Aral Sea Basin Sector Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above (CAWRMP-ICW-06: Modernization of Kegeyli Main Canal – Canal Works). Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2. The Center for Implementation of Foreign Investment Projects in the Water Sector under the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of CAWRMP-ICW-06: Modernization of Kegeyli Main Canal – Canal Works.

3. Open competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelope without Prequalification procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.

4. Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications defined in the Bidding Document may participate in this bidding.

• Minimum average annual construction turnover of fifteen million and one hundred thousand United States Dollars (US$15.10 million);
• Availability or access to the financial resources of a minimum of three million four hundred thousand United States Dollars (US$3.40 million);
• Participation as a contractor, Joint Venture partner, or Subcontractor, in one single contract that has been satisfactorily and substantially completed within the last five (5) years (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds thirty-two million United States Dollars (US$32.00 million);
• Minimum construction experience in earthworks of at least 3,500,000 m³, Concrete lining works of 135,000 m^3, and specific experience in the reconstruction of irrigation canals and structures;
• Other Evaluation and Qualification Criteria as indicated in the Bidding Documents.
