The meeting focused on ensuring the implementation of paragraph 9.3 of Appendix 2 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-70, dated April 29, 2026. Participants also discussed the introduction of a modern SCADA system at the "Reconstruction of 17 modular pumping stations in the Fergana Valley" site, the progress of construction and installation work, and the timely completion of the project.

At the event, Zhang Qiyang, a representative of Jiangxi Water and Hydropower Construction Co. Ltd. Ethiopia Branch, provided information on the work completed to date under the project and the plans for installing the SCADA system.

As noted, official orders for the necessary equipment for the pumping stations were placed with factories in the People's Republic of China in April 2026. The delivery of this equipment to Uzbekistan and its transport to the sites is scheduled for October of this year.

Installation and commissioning of the equipment are scheduled to begin in November 2026. All construction and installation work under the project is planned to be fully completed by the end of 2027, with the modernized pumping stations put into operation.

The implementation of this project will serve to equip pumping stations with modern control and monitoring systems, increasing their operational efficiency and reliability.
