JOINT MEASURING OF WATER RESOURCES SUPPLIED TO TAJIKISTAN

On April 24 of this year, water management specialists from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were carried out joint measurement of water resources supplied to the neighboring Tajikistan through the Great Fergana Canal.
Representatives of two countries under the leadership of Mr. Rustam Karshiev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mr. Jamshed Shodi Shoimzoda, First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, took part in the event.
At the gauging station on the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border, using modern equipment they carried out a joint measuring of water resources supplied to Tajikistan.
The specialists also visited the Patar gauging station, located in Tajikistan, where they studied the working condition of modern water gauging valves introduced on the basis of the Rubicon Water technology.
At the end of the event, issues of further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the field of water management were discussed and further tasks were identified.
The event was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the future.
