On March 16, Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation from the South Korean media conglomerate Herald Media Group, led by CEO Choi Jin-young.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and the organization of the Uzbekistan-Korea Business Forum. The event is scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum with the direct participation of the Group.
The forum will serve as a premier platform for direct dialogue between business communities and facilitate the preparation of the investment agenda for the "Central Asia + Korea" summit in September, as well as an upcoming high-level visit to Seoul. Particular emphasis was placed on attracting top-tier Korean investors, securing media coverage via The Korea Herald platforms, and organizing targeted B2B and B2G meetings.
Established in 1953 and headquartered in Seoul, Herald Media Group is South Korea’s leading English-language media company, reporting a total revenue of $40 million. With extensive experience in hosting international business forums in Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, the Group acts as a strategic bridge between Korean enterprises and global partners.
