Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Discusses Expansion of Investment Cooperation and Infrastructure Projects with Lamar Holding

Issues related to expanding investment cooperation and launching infrastructure projects were discussed on 11 February during a meeting between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, L.Kudratov, and Dr. Lina Noureddeen, President and Founder of Lamar Holding, who arrived at the head of a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The parties reviewed prospects for implementing projects based on public-private partnership (PPP) principles in the energy and social infrastructure sectors. A portfolio of PPP projects scheduled for launch in 2026 was presented.
Discussions also covered the modernization of electricity and gas networks, the development of water supply systems, the construction of healthcare facilities, and the implementation of a program to establish modern schools. An agreement was reached to further elaborate pilot initiatives and conduct technical consultations.
Founded in 2008 in Bahrain, Lamar Holding’s core operations are concentrated in Saudi Arabia. The company specializes in large-scale PPP projects in the oil and gas, water, and infrastructure sectors. Its project portfolio amounts to $2.5 billion, with assets totaling $500 million, more than 20 subsidiaries, and over 5,000 employees.
