Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 19 January, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Khaled Al Kaabi, Director of Business Development at ePointZero. The parties discussed prospects for launching joint innovative projects aligned with Uzbekistan’s national priorities in sustainable energy and industrial decarbonization.

During the talks, key areas were identified for determining priority sectors and for the further practical development of project concepts and pilot initiatives intended for implementation in Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was given to the preparation of investment and technical documentation in line with international standards, including feasibility studies, investment parameters, implementation timelines, and potential sources of financing.

The importance of job creation, workforce development, utilization of local resources, deployment of advanced technologies, and knowledge transfer was also emphasized, along with ensuring transparent cooperation and regular reporting throughout the implementation of joint initiatives.

As next steps, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group, exchange technical and commercial information on selected initiatives, and develop a project implementation roadmap.
