On September 10 of this year, employees of the Representative Office of the Migration Agency in the Russian Federation, together with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, visited the “Kommunarskiy” police department in Moscow and reviewed the situation related to the detention of Uzbek citizens.
According to information provided by the Russian side, during an operation conducted at a hostel in the “Kommunarka-1” area, 32 foreign citizens, including 7 citizens of Uzbekistan, were taken to the police department.
As a result of reviewing the situation, 6 of our compatriots were released. An administrative report was drawn up against one Uzbek citizen under Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. It was reported that, after the documents are processed, he will be placed in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens for subsequent administrative removal from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Clarification was also provided regarding reports circulating online that a citizen had died inside the “Kommunarskiy” police department building.
According to responsible officials of the police department, no death was recorded among the persons brought to the department. Therefore, the information circulating online about the death of a citizen was not confirmed.
The Representative Office of the Migration Agency in the Russian Federation continues to keep the situation under control.
