2,888 Uzbek citizens returned home: nearly UZS 10 billion allocated

In 2024, one of our compatriots traveled to St. Petersburg for employment. Since March of this year, his family had lost contact with him.
As a result of the assessment, it was established that changes had been observed in his mental condition and that he had been left without care. With the assistance of the Migration Agency, our compatriot was returned home on a St. Petersburg–Tashkent flight.
📊 During the past 7 months of this year, the Migration Agency returned 2,888 Uzbek citizens who had found themselves in difficult situations abroad to Uzbekistan.
Including:
🔹 1,306 — citizens who found themselves in difficult financial circumstances;
🔹 518 — women with children;
🔹 1,022 — children;
🔹 42 — citizens transported through specialized medical transportation (in a lying position).
🏥 15 citizens who required medical supervision were brought back under the supervision of doctors from the Ministry of Health.
A total of UZS 9.936 billion was spent from the Migration Fund on transportation, medical, organizational, and other necessary expenses related to returning citizens home.
