At today's briefing, we will provide information on the work carried out by the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers in April-June 2026 to implement legislative acts and instructions.
During the second quarter of this year, a total of 499 assignments were designated for the Migration Agency. Specifically:
237 assignments were established based on 213 documents adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; 47 assignments were established based on 39 documents issued by the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and 215 assignments were established based on 201 documents of the Cabinet of Ministers.
To date, all of these assignments have been implemented in full, on time, and with high quality. As part of their implementation, a number of significant reforms have been carried out in the field of labour migration.
In May, the First Tashkent International Migration Forum was held, bringing together more than 600 participants from 10 international organizations and 47 countries.
The Forum featured 2 plenary sessions and 5 panel sessions with the participation of 50 speakers, including heads of delegations, representatives of international organizations, and sector experts.
As a result of the Migration Agency's targeted efforts, the geography of labour migration has been significantly expanded. In particular, intergovernmental and interagency agreements were signed with four countries — Austria, Serbia, Sweden, and Japan. In addition, cooperation agreements were concluded with 101 employers in 27 countries.
Together with diplomatic missions, 173,222 job vacancies were identified, offering an average monthly salary of USD 1,500. New recruitment mechanisms were established for employment in the agricultural and service sectors in the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye.
New areas of cooperation were launched with 21 countries in the fields of butchery, road construction, aviation, and the automotive industry, while cooperation in healthcare, logistics, and welding was further expanded.
In cooperation with foreign organizations and non-governmental educational institutions, training courses were organized across the regions for citizens wishing to work abroad, and opportunities for free foreign language training were expanded.
A total of 3,700 citizens are currently studying under 38 joint "Profession + Language" educational projects implemented in technical colleges together with foreign companies. In cooperation with Türkiye's Aria organization and Latvia's Sertifikat Centrs, an international professional qualification assessment system has been introduced in five regions. In addition, Germany's TELC Certification Centre has been opened.
The "Intil" International Language and Vocational Training Centre, based on international standards, was established in Uchtepa District.
A "One-Stop Migration Centre" was established in the city of Termez to provide integrated public services under the one-stop-shop principle.
Honorary representatives of the Migration Agency have been appointed in Sweden, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, France, and Italy.
Dear compatriots,
The measures implemented serve to ensure that our citizens participate in safe, organized, and legal labour migration, while safeguarding their rights and legitimate interests.
